9 Months

Can you believe this cutie is 3/4 of a year old (as of yesterday)? I can't!
She has accomplished so much in the past month! Last Sunday she finally started rolling onto her tummy. She rolled all around the living room like it was no big deal. She can go from rolling to sitting up and vice versa by herself. She wants to crawl so bad and tries really hard to push herself forward on her stomach but isn't quite strong enough yet. She also scoots around well on her back. She claps her hands when she's excited or happy. She says Mama, mostly when she's unhappy with her circumstances. She says a few other vowel sounds, including dada, but her favorite noise by far is clucking like a chicken. Silly girl. She can hold her nighttime bottle herself and drinks water from her straw sippy cup at meal times very well. She is really starting to develop an appetite for food and is eating a lot more. She got her second bottom tooth so she can really chomp down. She finally is starting to outgrow some of her 6 month clothes. Her sleeping is about the same: 10 hours at night and 2 or 3 naps, depending on the day. The bad news: We weighed her Saturday night and she was 14.5 lbs exactly. That means she's only gained 4 oz in the past 4 weeks. This girl has got to fatten up! She still nurses every 3 hours during the day. Considering that she's still smaller than Reagan was at 5 months, I'm not surprised. She's so sweet and tiny though! I just love her to pieces.

Also. Matchies.

 Kisses and hugs. BSF's.

Valentines Weekend

We turned Valentines Day into a 2 day event at our house. Friday morning, Lance and I exchanged flowers, gifts, sweets and treats. I got beautiful roses, a flower plant, and cupcakes and cake bites from the Sweet Tooth Fairy. Lance got lots of snacks from the health food store (he was thrilled) and a book series he wanted.

Reagan and Daryn got a balloon. Well, actually, it was for me, but they commandeered it.
And then about 2 minutes after I took these pictures, I accidentally popped it, so Lance had to bring them home another.
The girls and I spent the day at home enjoying our treats, and then Meagan and Grace came to babysit so Lance and I could go to dinner. I met him in Salt Lake at one of our favorite restaurants, La Jolla Groves. YUM. We had a lovely dinner and then came home and redboxed Ender's Game. Saturday morning we had some fun planned for the kids. Meagan and Grace spent the night and Genevieve and the kids came over early and we made a round 2 Valentines breakfast! Homemade heart-shaped buttermilk waffles, syrup, strawberries and whipped cream. Delicious and festive. And then after some downtime and playtime, the kids got to roll out, cut out, sprinkle, frost and eat some sugar cookies! A big hit.
I think we were all riding a sugar high by the afternoon and ready to crash. Thank goodness for 3 day weekends!

Brunson, Party of 2

Our family had some fun pairings up this weekend. Lance and Reagan (well, mostly Reagan) got all fancied up for a pre-Valentines daddy-daughter date on Saturday. They saw Frozen- Reagan's very first trip to the movie theater! Lance said she did pretty well, all things considered. She loved the movie and talked about the "abominable snowman" and the 3(?) princesses for a while after. Aren't they a cute pair?

And here's an even cuter pair! Reagan and Daryn (and Baby) had their first of many tea parties together on Sunday!

Only 3 cups of water were spilled. I'd say it was a smashing success!

My Valentine

Genevieve was nice enough to do a little photo shoot of our smallest girls. They are so darling together and destined to be best friends. These pictures are so sweet (and do double duty as Daryn's 9 month pics).

 Love these sweetie pies.

Icy

Saturday afternoon, we made a trip all the way down (up?) to Midway with the cousins to visit the ice castle and what all the fuss was about. We were definitely impressed. It was so beautiful and fun!
Reagan got to meet a princess.

And see the snowman from Frozen! (Which we haven't seen yet, so not that exciting for us).

Reagan had at least one icicle in her hand/mouth the entire time we were there. But at least she was willing to share!
The coolest part was the ice slide. You had to crawl up this tunnel and then slide down. Since Genevieve and I were both wearing babies and Meagan had slippery boots, it fell to Lance to go up with all 3 girls. It was a little precarious and a lot slippery, but they made it. Wheeee!

After a little pizza and playtime at Meagan's house, it was time to head back home.

Sunday was a big day. The Superbowl! We were all so excited for the Broncos!
We had yummy food and friends over for the big game and.... that's probably enough about that. I'm still trying to recover. Maybe another year, Peyton. Regardless, Welcome February! One month closer to spring!
