Zoo!

Since Lance's parents are in town, we decided to take a trip to the zoo! I was worried that Reagan wouldn't like it, but she had a blast! Even though it was about a million degrees outside.
First stop: elephants. A big hit!

But the giraffes were an even bigger hit!

She did not want to leave!
She's even standing on her tippy toes to get a better view.

She insisted on walking all the way up this hill. That girl has so much energy. She wouldn't let me pick her up until she fell and scraped her knee.
When I realized that she wanted to be out in the sun and her head could get burned, we bought her this adorable hat.

And Reagan's favorite part of the excursion...the carousel!
Not too sure about it at first.
Until the music starts playing and it starts moving! (She's clapping her hands in the first picture.)
"Please can we go again, Mom?"

Some well deserved snacks.

Phew! All worn out after a day of fun.

Oh, and a couple pics from Friday when Reagan and I went up to Park City to swim in the in-laws RV resort pool. Grace is always "sharing" her binkies with Reagan.

What a great weekend! Lance and I spoke in Church on Sunday about the pioneers. It was very stressful, but we got through it :) And then of course, Bachelorette finale last night- up in Park City again to watch with Lance's family. Couldn't be happier with how it ended. I'm such a sucker! And in other exciting news, Lance and I are jetting off to a Caribbean cruise in September. I'm so excited, I'm counting down the days.

Provo

On Friday Reagan and I headed down to Provo to get together with some folks. But first, Reagan had to practice her phone skills; both texting...
 and speaking!

After meeting up with my cousin and my aunt for her birthday at La Dolce Vita-- soooo delicious-- we headed over to Chase and Marissa's. Reagan reunited with Butterface and their friendship was quickly rekindled.
The plan was to go swimming at the Veterans Memorial Pool. Even though it was overcast, we decided to give it a shot. It was warm for about 5 minutes when we got there, and Reagan had a blast.
Then it started getting cooler.
Reagan's "Mom, I'm freezing!" face

Still, she put in a valiant effort to have fun.
She kept splashing around even as she was shivering and she wouldn't get out.
She was trying to catch this leaf, but she didn't want to stand up because it was too cold. So she just kept crawling after it, but her movements pushed it away. I don't think she ever caught it. You can't see it in these pictures, but it's really a fun water park for kids. We played in some of the water sprayers, but finally left when it started raining. Brrr!!

We headed back to their apartment and dried off, and Reagan made a new friend- a gorilla!
What a fun place- so many giant stuffed animals!
Reagan crashed as soon as we were in the car, and didn't wake up until we met Lance in Salt Lake for dinner. What a busy fun day! It was so weird to be in Provo and see how things have changed even in just a few months. When I saw all the construction by our old condo, I was extra-glad we moved :)

Independence Day

Wow! What a busy week we've had. We took off for New Mexico last Friday afternoon. We were nervous about how Reagan would handle the 13+ hour drive, but she did pretty good. Here she is, all set to go.
After getting in late and some restless sleep, we were ready to play. Reagan practiced her climbing skills- she climbs on everything now!
Our week was packed with tons of activities including celebrating birthdays,
 playing put put...

...and real golf,

elk spotting,

 scooter riding,
 swimming,
 sunbathing,
 cooking,
eating,
and playing.

Those are all the activities I have pictures of, but we also spent time playing tennis, shopping, reading, going on dates (loved the new Spiderman), and hanging out with family. It was great fun to be there at the same time as our sister-in-law Britta's family- they were so good at keeping Reagan entertained!

On the 4th, Joy planned a parade with all the kids- it was a big hit! Reagan looked like a doll and played her part well.

Afterwards, Reagan and Cal switched headgear.
Even though she couldn't see, she wouldn't let us take it off.

I take credit for that delicious fruit pizza :) And the apple pie.
Reagan absolutely loved this ride-on car. She scooted all over and even balanced on it!

mmmm....milk....
We had a great vacation. It's strange to think that Reagan is on her second round of holidays, and how much she's changed since the last 4th of July. She had a little harder time on the way home, but she did spend a majority of the ride blowing raspberries, which I managed to capture.

After got home, we had a wedding to attend! My cousin Matt got married on Saturday. I got to go to the sealing while Lance waited outside with Reagan.

She tried to scale the temple walls.
And hung out with her second cousin Brian.
The happy couple:
Congrats Matt and Kim! It was great to spend time with the Larsen family.
