A Princess Tea Party

Last week Reagan and Chiara were invited to a very fancy Sophia the First Princess Tea Party thrown by Meagan and Grace. It was beautiful and magical for 3 little girls!

First they had to follow the ribbons to the party.
And they arrived in a magical fairy land!
Where it was time to paint tea sets.
And then time for tea!
The girls did their best to use their nicest tea party manners.
And the little cupcakes and cookies were sooo delicious!!
Cousins(ish).
After eating, the girls just played and frolicked in the yard with the decorations.
We had the best time and Reagan was so excited to be such a big girl!! I think we must make this an annual event.

Reagan Turns 3!

On Saturday, Reagan's actual birthday, we had a day chock full of fun! It started off quiet and got a little louder!
Meagan, Grace, Brent, and Joy came down to party, and we finally pulled out the kiddie pool so the kids could splash.

Then it was time for presents! Reagan was so spoiled this year. Next year I think we need to tone it down...
She got some really fun gifts, but I think the winner of the day was her new scooter, followed closely by an art easel. She wanted to try them both out immediately!
She got the hang of it pretty quickly!
After presents we had a yummy steak dinner, and then Meagan and Grace came with us to Strawberry Days! Lots of rides and fun for all.
I can not believe how big these girls are. It's freaking me out!
Together Lance and Reagan played a game and won her a new teddy bear!
 She promptly named him Fuzz.
After a long evening and a late night, we still had one more birthday thing to do when we got home. Lance had missed Reagan's cake at her party the day before, so we pulled out  leftover cupcake and sang happy birthday one more time. A perfect end to the day.
The next day she got to wear her new "birthday outfit" to church, and she looked beautiful.
And Monday she got to paint for the very first time! Not too bad, if you ask me.

It is so fun having a 3 year old now. Reagan is absolutely positive that she grew and can do lots of things now that she couldn't do last week. She is quite the conversationalist and has a huge vocabulary. She loves memorizing songs she hears on the radio and singing them back to me. She is a great climber and is learning to swim and is practically fearless. She loves her gymnastics class and is building a lot of arm and core strength. She makes new friends very easily and isn't shy. She can count to twenty on most days and loves playing hide and seek. She loves to pick out letters when she sees them and is great at rhyming words. She is the best big sister and is always helping out Daryn whenever she can, including feeding her baby food. At her well check on Monday she was 37 inches and 31 lbs, just over 50% for weight and just under 50% for height. I asked her some questions and here are her answers:

1. What is your favorite color? All of them. White.

A Daniel Tiger Birthday Party

Reagan had her first "friends" birthday party on Friday. After much debate and wavering, she settled on a Daniel Tiger theme. Which was a little tricky, because they don't make many Daniel Tiger products. But with a little help from Etsy and PBS.com, I was able to put together a fun little party!
I even made Reagan a shirt.

We started off with a little coloring thanks to some free printables.
Then moved on to masks and red light/green light. These were all thanks to the PBS website.

Then the yarn tiger tail game (where they try to step on each others' tails).

Then it was time for a visit to "Dr Anna's"! The kids loved giving shots and bandaids.

A little refreshments, and then presents!

And for the best part... a copy-cat Daniel Tiger birthday cake! This cake looks just like the one Daniel gets on one of the episodes. A friend in the ward made it for me. And it was a jelly roll! Delicious.

Lance was a scout camp and wasn't supposed to be home until Saturday, but he came home early and surprised Reagan at the end of her party!
And last but not least, the treat bags, filled with a variety on Daniel Tiger-esque things including character chocolates, stickers, figure toys, and themed candy wrappers.

It was so so much fun putting this party together, and Reagan absolutely loved it! That makes it all worth it.

Until later that night, when this happened:
Which makes me think maybe it was a little too much fun for one day... :) Until next year!
