Summer is here!!

The cold spring weather is finally gone and we are ready for summer! Reagan finished up her last year of preschool with a cute little program the day after Daryn's birthday.
Beloved Mrs. Call, who we will miss dearly (Daryn is going to the same preschool, but Mrs. Call is retiring). We are so grateful for the wonderful influence she has been on Reagan.

We celebrated school being out (and making it through the craziness of the past week) that night at Chuck E. Cheese!
It was Daryn's first time and the girls loved it.

That week Reagan had handspring camp up in ogden everyday, so we stayed pretty busy.
Friday night was the Father-Son campout in our ward. We did this instead :)
The girls loved camping in the backyard with Daddy, although Daryn only made it until about 2 am when Lance brought her in.

Saturday we got to see Lance's brother Shay because he was in town for a wedding (and Meagan and Grace). Apparently we didn't get any pictures with Shay, but here are the girls.

We spent Memorial Day just as a family. Daryn and I went to go meet her new preschool teacher that morning, and she was so excited.
We ate lots of yummy food and taught our girls about all the people that had died so we could be free to choose what we want to do.

We also set up Daryn's pool that she got for her birthday!

We spent the rest of the week outside basically. Tons of swimming in the pool and lots of trips to the splash pad before the big kids got out of school and took it over.

Everyone got some sun!

Madelyn's first slide!

And one day I let Maddie try her very first "swimming".

She seemed to like it!  At least, she didn't cry.

In other news, Maddie sits in the bumbo now.

As do the other girls, apparently.

This is how I grocery shop now. It's actually pretty effective. Thanks, Smiths!

There was the time Maddie tried to nurse on this giant teddy bear.

And the time both the big girls nursed their babies at the breakfast table.

We're so excited for a fun summer and glad this little bug is along for the ride :).

Daryn is 3!

Ahhh! My little Tiny is 3!! I can't believe it! It feels like she's been two for so long, I was so used to it! Her birthday was on Monday, but we decided to cap off a very busy weekend after their shows with a family party on Sunday before Joy left. So she really got two days of birthday.

She woke up early, very excited and helped me make breakfast.

Daddy came home from his church meetings and brought her flowers!

I had to get busy making a cake.
Daryn wanted "a strawberry birthday cake with zoo animals on it" so that is what she got! It may not be the prettiest, but it was delicious!

Matchies for church.

After church, Meagan, Joy, and Stuart's family came over for dinner/dessert. It was party time! This little sweetheart was pretty spoiled.

I think her new Little Giraffe blankey was definitely the hit of the day. Her old one badly needed to be replaced and she loves her new one just as much!

Maddie was feeling a little cantankerous; luckily, she had a Gigi to hold her when she wasn't sleeping.

Reagan loved helping Daryn test all the presents and only got a little jealous.

Trying on her new Anna dress up dress!

Time for cake! I was going to write Daryn, but the D was too big so I settled for her initials instead. I didn't worry too much, because she can't read.

And then I think she only had about one bite of cake. Too much excitement!

The next day was the big 3! We got already and picked Reagan up from preschool
and went straight to the zoo!
We met up with all of Daryn's Utah cousins who came to celebrate; so fun! Daryn was thrilled to be running around. We caught a bird show right at the beginning which was lots of fun.

Even Maddie was excited for her first zoo trip!

We got to see the brand new lion cubs! They're behind the girls in this picture but you can't really see them.

Brown bear, brown bear.

And elephants!

And of course they got completely soaked playing with this thing.

Yummy birthday treats!

Since it was a special occasion, the girls got to ride the carousel AND the train.

We had a wonderful time and before we knew it, it was time to leave to go to the girls' gymnastics classes.

Of course this happened on the way up to Ogden. Too much fun for on little girl!

After gymnastics we had dinner at Chick-fil-a and Lance was able to get bunches of smiles out of the little one. So sweet! (I think he was singing Pink to her...)

It was the perfect birthday for a little 3 year old.

Some things about Daryn at 3:
~She was 28 lbs (25th %) and 35 in (5th %) at her doctors appointment and totally rocked her shots with just a whimper.
~She loves bothering her older sister and thinks it's hilarious.
~She almost always wants the opposite of whatever Reagan wants.
~She does not have much of a sweet tooth, but tries to avoid eating her veggies now too.
~She loves "doing art" but ends up being pretty destructive.
~She is a great sleeper and still naps 2 hours most days, plus 11-12 hours at night.
~She wears mostly 2T tops and 3T bottoms.
~She is very healthy, hopefully no medical procedures in the near future.
~She is very good with her colostomy bag and never pulls on it.
~She is very silly and goofy and never wants to listen to what Lance and I tell her. She thinks it's funny when she gets in trouble.

Most of her answers made no sense and certainly weren't what I would have said about her, but we love our silly girl so much. Happy birthday, darling!
