Back to School

Last week Reagan started Kindergarten! Part of me can't believe it, but the other part of me feels like she is so big, it's about time. Daryn also started preschool this week. We prepared by getting both girls haircuts.

Daryn's very first! I told the lady to cut off as little of her curls as possible, and she did a pretty good job. Daryn did great and sat very still. Before:

And after:
Neither of the girls wanted the hairdresser to blow dry so they both just asked for braids instead.

We celebrated with scones at Sills Cafe after. To die for.

Reagan showing me that she's all ready for Kindergarten.

Daryn also started dance a couple weeks ago!! What a doll!!

She was so so so excited and was the cutest tiniest dancer ever. She did great too! A good listener.

The morning before Reagan started afternoon kindergarten we went and got mani-pedis.

First day pictures! She was so excited and absolutely loved it. She has been excited to go back every day and told me today when I was dropping her off, "Mom I love kindergarten. It's my favorite days when I get to go." I also love the uniforms. So cute and less stressful!

Daryn's first day was yesterday. She was anxiously waiting all last week and asked me every day if it was time. Finally!

I was anxious but she loved it and totally rocked it. Her teacher sent me this picture and said she did so great and was a cheerful and hard worker. Yay!

She was happy to go back today and Lance sent me this picture of her teaching walking her in from drop-off. So tiny and big at the same time!

We're looking forward to seeing our girls grow and change and learn new things this year!

Maddie 4 Months

While we were at Bear Lake, Madelyn hit the 4 month mark. She's 1/3 of the way there! I snapped these pictures before we left but she was being kind of a stinker and just wanted to chew on her hands so they didn't turn out quite as good as I had hoped.
Of course Reagan had to join in on one.

At 4 months Maddie is such a doll! She is a very happy girl. She sleeps great at night (about 10 hours straight). Her naps are kind of rough because she is always getting dragged around places with her sisters so she struggle a little in that area. She nurses 5 times a day usually. No rolling over yet but she is starting to enjoy tummy time a lot more. She also loves her play mat, jumper, and bumbo. She also has a new love, Bunny. She holds bunny while she sleeps and sometimes brings her with her when I pick her up and it's the most adorable thing ever.

I went in one night to feed her at 10 pm and she was dead asleep clutching Bunny.

BFFs.

In other news, Maddie is still a giant; in fact, even more so. Her stats from her 4 month appointment:
Weight: 16 lbs 4 oz (85th %)
Height: 27 inches (100th %)
Head: 16.2 in (50th %)

You can see her height dot way off the chart below.

She's wearing mostly 9 month clothing, a few 6 month and some 12 month. Size 3 diapers. Size 1 shoes. Tiny feet like her sisters!

She is staring to get more interactive and enjoys playing with baby toys and gumming everything. She laughs and laughs at her sister when they do silly things.

We love this sweetest little part of our family!

Bear Lake

The weekend after Colorado, we had the chance to spend a couple days at Bear Lake with Lance's family. It's becoming a tradition! We went up a little earlier and decided to visit Minnetonka Cave nearby. Of course, Maddie pooped through her outfit while we waiting to go in. It's becoming a habit for her to have blowouts only away from home.

Excited to explore a cave!

It was chilly and a LOT of stairs which kind of killed me wearing the baby but the girls did great.
It definitely wore them out. They both crashed on the way back to the campground.

They were re-energized by the playground while Lance and I were unloading at our cabin.

New toys from Mumsy!

Sleepover! Although it didn't last long.

Maddie was up bright and early the next morning, ready for fun!

Beach fun the next morning!

That afternoon, and the next morning, was boat and tubing fun!! Despite a couple injuries, we had fun.

Even Maddie came along for the ride! I was worried it would be too rough but apparently not because after I fed her, she slept like a log the entire ride.

Campground fun in the evenings.

We had such a great time! Can't wait to go back next year.
