Halloween was a huge success this year, even though I had their costumes planned forever but put them off until the last minute. Things came together with a couple days to spare! Trolls movie for the Brunson girls.
First round for the Trunk or Treat:
Reagan as a sassy Princess Poppy.
Daryn as tiny-but-mighty Smidge.
And Madelyn as the awkwardly adorable Bergen, Bridget.
(Lance says she will hold it against me when she's older. Hopefully not.)

The Chili Cook-off and Trunk or Treat was a blast. The older girls went crazy, Maddie strutted around like she owned the place, and Lance won 3rd prize for his Zuppa Toscana.
Madelyn pick up the hang of trick-or-treating very quickly and grunted an "eh" at every car for a thank you. The other girls went by themselves around to all the cars- how are they so big?? I didn't even see them- we were moving pretty slowly.
Saturday was the perfect day to carve pumpkins. Some of us were more excited than others.
Maddie turned out to be a good helper.
And I was totally shocked, but Reagan actually carved about 90% of hers completely on her own, with a kit she bought at the dollar store. Stop this growing up immediately!
Speaking of growing up, we had caramel apples after carving, which turned out to be just the thing to yank out Reagan's first loose tooth! (Her top one was pulled a couple years ago.)
How exciting! And the second one followed two days later in another apple- the tooth fairy stayed busy!
Halloween morning, Daryn had her little preschool program. She was ready to go!
And we were ready to watch!
Look at that cute little face! She knew every word and was very animated.
And of course, trick or treating followed.
Maddie was so on top of that.

We had some to kill, so we stopped by the library for Halloween storytime after.
After picking Reagan up from school (she had a field trip to Black Island Farms), it was time to get ready for the main event! I was surprised that Daryn's hair stayed in the entire day and all I had to do was spray a little more color.
They really got into their characters.

Ready to go! It was a little chilly but beautiful evening.
They would listen at all the doors after they knocked to see if someone was coming. Hilarious and a little embarrassing.

At a couple doors, Maddie surprised us all by joining in with a "tri-tree!"- unprompted, even. She is really getting the hang of this talking thing.
Quite a bit of loot! They each chose 30 pieces to save and sold the rest to the dentist- for a whopping $5 each!
Some other fun things- lots of leaves!
Mornings are hard.
And evenings as well, apparently.
Stack 'em like blocks! When they ask me to carry them in from the car because they're "too tired".
Mustache week at gym! Maddie's not even in class, but she thinks she is.
Sweetest ever.
