A Colorado Christmas

It was a year for traveling again, so on Sunday, right after church, we were off to my parents' house in Colorado. Time for some cousin fun! Sharon's family got there a couple days earlier.

We were all so excited to see adorable baby cousin Travis who is living at my parents right now with Cassidy while Eric is deployed.

We couldn't skip swimming at the rec center on Christmas Eve.

And the indoor playground!

We settled down for bit with happy meals for all afterwards.

After a lot of baths, it was time to get the party started!

That's a lot of cousins from 2 families.

Don't worry, we got baby Travis in there.

We acted out the Nativity and it was a little chaotic...

And there were tears involved. Of course.

Lot of piano playing and Christmas carols to be sung.

The stockings were hung and the cookies were left out and it was off to bed!

The kids were up by 7:30 the next morning- a new record for them!
So many stocking goodies- the yard was a big hit.

First Christmas- they're so adorable!

Second Christmas is pretty adorable, too.

Santa left the kids' present under pillowcases and they had to wait to open them. Blade got a pop gun and wooden swords.

Maddie got a "unicorn playset with a bad guy squid". Very specific but Santa delivered.

Daryn got a remote control car.

And Reagan was thrilled with her microscope.

I took the older girls to the dollar store separately and they bought gifts for each other with their own money. Watching them open them was one of the best parts of the morning.

Blade was totally into his new coat and baby doll.

We spent the rest of the day eating and chilling and before we knew it, Christmas was over.

The next day the girls had to make the edible unicorn slime that they got in their stockings. It was interesting. Fun but tasted weird.

And Lance dragged us all on a trip to Cabela's which ended up being pretty fun.

Eric and Cassidy's cats occasionally ventured out enough to prove to the girls that they did indeed exist.

And we all learned how to play Mexican Train and got a little obsessed.

One quick trip to the park in the cold and one last play session and it was time to move on.

Thanks for an awesome Christmas, Grandma and Grandpa! (Who I apparently did not take single picture of on the entire trip. Worst daughter ever.)
