We were so excited about celebrating Lance this year that we turned it into a full 2 day party! Sadly, Lance had to get up early Saturday morning to put out flags with the scouts, but he came home to this:
A new ladder and a composter! So practical and yet so fun. Kind of. It's a little sad how excited we both are to compost.
We had originally been planning on spending the day swimming, but the cooler weather made us change our minds last minute. We settled on a short waterfall hike/picnic and then the zoo.
Reagan caught some z's on the way to Salt Lake.
The "hike" (about a quarter mile roundtrip) to Hidden Falls was beautiful but a little chilly when the sun wasn't out.
It was good to get out in nature and remember how beautiful it is here!
Time for the highlight of the day! By the time we got to the zoo, it had warmed up a little and was pretty much the perfect temperature the whole time we were there. Lucky!

The girls were so well-behaved at the zoo- practically no fussing, even with missed naps. They were tuckered out by the end, though. When we got to 5 Guys for dinner we found this:
They weren't super happy to be woken at first, but some yummy French fries changed that tune quickly. Then we had to hurry home for a birthday party! It never really got above 70 that day, and I think Reagan was the only kid to brave the slip-n-slide.

After a very long day, we finally got the kids home, wrestled them through baths, and all crashed in bed.
The next morning I was up bright and early to get myself and the girls ready so Lance could sleep in a little. Things went so smoothly, we were even early for church. A miracle!
The girls were super sweet and matching thanks to dresses from Aunt Gen. So cute!
We came home and Lance got a nice nap and then we had a delicious steak dinner. So wonderful to be able to show the best daddy in the world how much we love and appreciate him. We are the luckiest!
