We had such a great, busy weekend with Lance's side of the family. First of all, Lance's birthday was on Wednesday. We saved the real celebrating for Saturday, but we did take the girls to dinner at Market Street Grill. And they actually behaved really well!
This guy deserves the best birthdays in the entire world.
Friday night we buckled down and had Maddie sleep in her toddler bed (after several unsuccessful attempts). It took her over an hour to fall asleep, but she did great all night and slept until 8! She really loves her bed and gets excited about it every night. Each night has gotten a little better and hopefully soon we can put all the girls to bed at the same time.
Saturday rolled around, and we had lots to do before we could party. Including getting rid of our old beds and switching everything over into our new family car, a Sequoia! That literally took the entire morning and half the afternoon.
Also, kids are disgusting and I'm never allowing food in our new car.
A lot of Lance's family was coming into town for our niece Grace's baptism on Sunday. His parents and brother and kids came up to Layton to go swimming with us.

Reagan and Cal are both great swimmers and had a lot of fun playing together.
I was worried some of our pool toys would get lost because it was pretty crowded but Maddie kept a very tight grip on them the entire time and did not take it well when she had to share.
After swimming we got dressed and went straight to Cracker Barrel for a delicious and slightly chaotic dinner, and then back to the house for presents and cake.
I was pretty proud of my gift for Lance this year. A huge picture from our trip to Alaska this summer, framed for his office. It turned out really beautiful.
Sunday was the big day- Grace's baptism!
We love this sweet girl so much and are very proud of her. So glad we could participate!
That night Reagan stayed in Park City with her cousins for a sleepover. Daryn had a hard time saying goodbye. She and Grace are besties!
And the next morning we drove back up for tubing!
The conditions were perfect- hard packed ice instead of fluffy snow- and we had the best time.
The kids love tubing but they also like just playing in the snow at the end.
They had so much fun together!
After that we were completely worn out. The kids also had Tuesday off of school and we had a quiet day at home resting. Reagan spent hours reading- she is currently obsessed with the Rainbow Magic books and can read several of them in one day.
Back to school this morning! Things have been kind of rough since Christmas- Daryn, Reagan, and Lance all had the flu a few days after we got back and it made for some very long days and nights. We are grateful that Maddie and I didn't get it and everyone has recovered and we're ready to get back into a routine and take on the world!
