The last month

We are glad to have January and the first half of February behind us. Between lots of sickness and lots of car trouble, it's been a little rough. But we have fit in lots of fun, too!

One little snowstorm in January! We made do.

Maddie really loved our "noman".

32 weeks, I think? It's hard to remember back that far. 36.5 weeks now. Pregnancy brain is hitting hard. So much effort to paint these toes and I did the wrong color!

Dentist appointments!
They all got a clean bill of health, and Daryn got a mustache.
As a quick, but not insignificant sidenote, right after this appointment, Reagan stopped sucking her thumb! It's been a battle for literally 5 years, but with her first permanent teeth growing in and lots of explaining, we tried the yucky nail polish one more time and she pushed through! She hasn't sucked in almost a month and we are sooo proud of her (and extremely relieved). Go Reagan!

Two dates nights in a month- what?! The girls love when Aunt Meagan comes to babysit- she is the best ever!

Don't mind Maddie's face.

Best sisters.

Warm enough for a park day!

At the end of January it was time to say goodbye to our beloved 4Runner- Lance had it since 2003, right after his mission. He picked me up for our first date in this car, drove all our girls home from the hospital. I used it to drive our family all over for 7 years! So many good memories.

But on to bigger and better things- we are loving our Sequoia!

Lance drove it out to my parents in Colorado who will hopefully get many more years of use out of it.

Of course, the day after he did that, Lance's car stopped working, which wasn't the best timing. It made the next couple weeks more interesting. After driving him back and forth to the train all week, we drove up to Park City to borrow Meagan's extra car, which then promptly stopped working (battery issues). Anyway...

Tons of fun with Reagan's school lately. Family Skate Night!

100th Day of 1st Grade rockstar!

Dress up like a book character day. Reagan chose Gemma the Gymnastics Fairy from the Rainbow Magic series.

Daddy-Daughter Sweetheart's Ball.
So sweet!

Reagan also had two field trips, plus was Top Cat (spotlighted) in her class and was nominated by her teacher to be on the Wall of Fame for achieving a goal (quitting thumb sucking). It's been hard to keep up with everything!

Madelyn has been especially adorable lately- she is really starting to talk a lot on her own and putting words together.

First real pigtails! Those cheeks though.

She looooves to read.

Big girl jammies in her big girl bed!

Bear and Tigey are her best friends.

She is so silly!

These girls are the best!

Reagan had a Friday off of school a couple weeks ago, and the weather was so nice, we decided to make a fun day of it! We met Marissa and her kids at the funnest park ever in Bluffdale. I didn't really take pics but it was so cool, we could have stayed there all day.
I took the girls to Chick-fil-a for lunch, and then we had a fun trip to the Living Planet Aquarium!

Maddie was enthralled and didn't even mind skipping her nap.

The girls all loved it but I was completely exhausted by the time we left. We met Lance in Park City so we could drop off the car and made it home after a long day!

The night I got super sick (stomach issues) and was stuck in bed all the next day. Lance and the girls had a fun day together! He loves taking them to the park.

I was on the road to recovery by Sunday but did a lot of parenting from the couch.

Monday we made Valentines sugar cookies for FHE and watched the Olympics.

Maddie literally took 20 minutes to lick the frosting off hers before she ate it. So dainty!

The others, not so much.

We had a pretty low-key Valentines Day. I had a drs appointment in the morning, and the girls had fun parties at school.

That night I put the kids in bed early while Lance made us a yummy steak dinner. Not bad for a Wednesday night!

Every night in the first half of February Lance and I put a heart on the girls' door that said a good quality about each of them. They loved it! We sure are proud of these amazing daughters of ours.
