Little Daryn is 5 years old! I can't believe it. She's not so tiny anymore.
Birthday celebrations started a couple weeks early with her Walk Around the Sun at preschool. They talk about all the things Daryn accomplished each year.
Birthday hugs!
On her birthday morning, she got one present early before Lance and Reagan left. A sit and stand scooter! The girls have been fighting over it non-stop.
Then off to the doctors for her well check! She loved the vision screening and did not love the finger poke but was very brave. She weighed in at 34 lbs (10th percentile) and 40 inches (5th percentile).
After a morning running errands and a short nap, we picked Reagan up from school and waited patiently for Daddy to get home so we could party! First dinner, then presents.
Reagan got to open a couple of her presents early since they were matchies with Daryn's. Handmade memory foam pillows and tennis rackets for their tennis class that starts next week!
After presents it was time for Daryn's t-ball game. It was a beautiful evening and we had fun watching her!
Then home for cake! White cake with chocolate frosting and sprinkles.
Daryn got lots of fun presents but especially loved her dry erase coloring pad from Gigi.
2 days later, Daryn had her first ever friends party at the Classic Fun Center. She was thrilled that her bff Jackson (from preschool and church) was there.
She was insistent that she wanted a Wonder Woman cake.
It was hot that day so when we got home we turned on the sprinkler and let the girls run around. Daryn fell asleep on her towel in the sun. Celebrating is hard work!
Daryn is such a fun girl! She can be sassy sometimes and push boundaries, and has turned into quite a bossy little know-it-all (I mean that in the nicest way). She is very responsible and helpful when she wants to be. She can read and write decently. She fights with her sisters a lot and really adores her baby brother. She fights hard to be more independent and enjoys when she gets new abilities. She is very brave and very matter-of-fact. She loves dancing and singing. We so lucky and blessed to have her in our family!
