Spring

We've really been enjoying the warm, sunny, and sometimes very windy weather the past few weeks. Reagan and Daryn started softball and tball, respectively, but sadly the only two days it's rained in a couple weeks were the evenings of Daryn's first games. She was crushed but Reagan did really well at her first games. We'll be spending every weeknight at the ball park for the rest of the month...

Reagan took along Rainbow, her class pet that was staying the night.

I taught my activity day girls to finger knit (something I was really into as a kid) and my girls wanted to learn too and now they are obsessed! I'm finding long ropes all over the house.

One Friday morning when Reagan had school off we had a long trip to the park (the girls found duck eggs!) and I showed the girls how to do a vinegar volcano.

Dance pictures! Always a very stressful day for me and this year was no exception when halfway there Reagan ripped a huge hole in her tights and we had to go home and switch and were late. We survived.

Later the day, we met up with Meagan and Grace for an open house tour of the renovated Jordan River Temple.

Good pictures can be hard to get with this crew.

Blade's little Sunday outfits really kill me.

Lance and I celebrated our 8th anniversary. Pretty low-key this year but he did surprise me with Cheesecake Factory for lunch and flowers.

Daryn loves playing with the magformers and wants me to take pictures of all her creations.

Speaking of silliness, I went to check on the girls in the middle of the night once after feeding Blade and found Daryn sleeping like this.

And speaking of sleeping, the boy is a straight up angel. (Can you tell he has big sisters?)

He's getting bigger everyday!

Yesterday the weather was so nice, we went for our first hike of the year! We were a little nervous because Daryn would actually have to hike this year, the whole way on her own.
But she did great ! Didn't even complain at all.
They were thrilled when they made it to the top of the steep part.

The girls LOVE splashing at the waterfall.

Maddie really got into the rock throwing.

Blade was super chill and adorable.

The big girls even braved going up to touch the waterfall.

Maddie really wanted to hike back like the big girls, but it wasn't in the cards.

Luckily for her, since she conked out about halfway down.

We made it!

Super proud of these tiny hikers.
