Reagan's Baptism

July 6th was a big day for our family. Reagan was baptized!

A few weeks earlier, I snapped some pictures of her in her baptism dress when we went to Music and the Spoken Word. It was nice because there were hardly any people around that early but the rising sunlight was very harsh and her face in squinty in all the pictures.

Still beautiful!

Watching her choose to be baptized and helping her prepare was such an awesome experience. Parent payday for sure!

We didn't have lots of family that was able to come (just grandparents and Meagan and Grace) but we invited friends and neighbors and it was super special.

Reagan was thrilled when her bff from school, Ivy showed up.

Reagan chose people from the ward that she loves (former teachers) to speak and her babysitters to sing a musical number.

And then it was time for the big event!

She was nervous beforehand about the water being cold, but the first thing she said to me was, "I couldn't tell what was warmer, the water or my heart. They both felt almost burning!"

We were blessed to have wonderful men participating in her confirmation, including our bishop and stake president.

She asked me to paint her cast white for her baptism and wanted everyone that came to sign it afterward.

Such a great day for our family!!

Afterwards we hosted a lunch at our house. I ordered these cookies that I'm a little obsessed with. They turned out so cute!

Thanks for being such a great example to us, Reagan! It's been really cool to see her handle situations differently since she received the gift of the Holy Ghost and as she strives to follow Jesus Christ. We love her so much!
