At the beginning of August we had a Larsen family reunion. I was mostly excited for Sharon to be in town. They stayed with us before and after. It turns out, the day they arrived was National Cheesecake Day. Lance brought home Cheesecake Factory because he is the best person ever.
Then it was time for the reunion! 3 days full of fun, food, and dirt. One of my cousins set up this slackline and my girls were soo obsessed.
They also enjoyed tubing and wading in the river.
Blade and Seth got lots of bonding time and practice in being annoyingly needy while also ridiculously lovable.
He would NOT stop sliding down this dirt path from on our cabin on his butt. Thanks buddy.
The book obsession is strong with this one.
Limbo! I briefly explained the rules to Daryn and she figured crab walked counted. No one wanted to correct her.
Lance finally caught a fish!
PiƱata!
We pushed the 3 beds in out cabin together to make one giant family bed. It worked pretty well.
We also spent an hour or so boating on the little pond.
Getting everyone there and back was an adventure.
Family Olympics
Frenemies no more?
Besties for life!
Straight from the reunion on Saturday we drove to temple square to meet my mom's siblings and kids- my Klosowsky relatives. We were all worn out- good thing the kids got a nap on the way!
We had a mostly great afternoon with them on Temple Square- first visit in 40 years! Maddie had the poops non-stop so we left early.
That evening everyone came to our house for dinner and we had the best time hanging out.
Peek-a-boo!
You can always count on Uncle Lance for a story! I think it's his way off forcing us to get the kids in bed...
And apparently this is the only picture I have? But it was so fun to see my brother Evan for the first time in almost 3 years because he's been stationed in Japan.
It was so great to get to spend some time with my fam!
