The Terrific Brunson Team: November

November started off with some warmer days and ended with a lot of snow. Time for lots of hot chocolate!

Blade discovered he could be a big boy and wear a backpack.

We didn't spend much time at the park over the summer but we visited a lot this fall while Daryn was in karate nearby before it got too cold.

Sometimes he beats up his sisters. It's cute now but...

He also likes to play ghost and straight up walks into walls.

Blade is still obsessed with reading- by himself and with anyone else he can convince!

Grocery helper! He couldn't be more pleased that I was buying more string cheese.

STEM convention with the kiddos. Super exhausting for me but the girls had a great time and learned so much. The especially loved the little robots that they got to program and the bubble smoke foam.

Daryn had a minor outpatient surgery that she handled like the true champion that she is.

Crazy hair day at school! Donuts and cupcakes around here.

I signed up to read in Daryn's class that day so I got into the school spirit.

They make look goofy with crazy hair but they sure clean up nice.

Maddie got all dolled up for school pictures too but I haven't got hers back yet.

We've been busy with lots of house projects over the last several months. Changing our guest bedroom into a little kids' room and moving Maddie in (lots of furniture for Lance to assemble). Fixing up some things in the big girls room. New couches. And redoing furniture/rearranging in the basement. It's basically done and it feels great!

They like snuggling on the new couch just as much as the old. Let's hope they treat it a little better...

Lance and Reagan really enjoyed demolishing the old entertainment center in the basement. Until they both got matching cuts.

Sunday loves. 21 weeks for me and baby girl looks great!

It's not fair for one person to be so adorable!! My pregnant mommy heart can't even handle it.

He folds his little hands for prayer and I'm just dying.

Thanksgiving break was the absolute best. Lance took 3 days off of work and we just spent tons of time together as a family. The huge snowstorms were just the icing on the cake!

First thing Wednesday morning Lance took the girls to see the new Frozen movie. It was a big hit.

Then the flakes started falling and the next couple days were full of snow and indoor fun.

Although super adorable, Blade was not a fan of the snow unless I was pulling him in the sled or holding him.

The girls, of course, could have stayed out all day.

The snow is less fun for Lance (especially with the kids "help"). He is a good sport though.

Meagan and Grace joined us for a delicious, if somewhat low-key, Thanksgiving dinner. The perfect chance to reflect on the things we are most grateful for. Too many to list!

The next morning we set off bright and early to cut down our Christmas tree. The place we usually go to was open but said to expect lots of snow. We made it halfway up the unplowed mountain road before we were directed to the side by 5 or 6 cars that were stuck and couldn't get down with their trees because the road was too steep and slick. We decided to turn around (obviously) and had a harrowing drive back down with no braking power, sliding back and forth across the road. It was terrifying and lots of prayers were said but we made it back to the highway safely. We stopped a tree lot on the way home and picked out a beautiful 12 foot tree.

We even got it decorated that night at the kids' insistence.
