Maddie's preschool pictures turned out so cute!

So did Reagan's!

I don't have Daryn's yet, but here's a pic of her with Mrs. Smith (best teacher ever) and the cute Judy Moody pumpkin she decorated 100% on her own. I love how she drew the face.

And not to leave out Blade.... Cute little troublemaker.

He gets super pouty when he doesn't get his way these days. 

We made our annual trip to the Alpine Loop. It was beautiful, but unfortunately Daryn started to feel unwell so we turned around at Cascade Springs instead of going to Provo.

Reagan spent an entire Saturday doing science experiments from her chemistry set. It was captivating for everyone. 

Reagan was studying the wetlands for an assignment, so we decided it was time for a visit to the wetlands near our house, the Great Salt Lake Shorelands Preserve. 10 minutes away and we've never been there before. It was also the perfect opportunity to release our pet snails, Slick and Slide, and their 200 little babies. 

On the way home we stopped at this guy's house who has decorated his whole property with elaborate chalk Disney designs. Pretty cool. 

Last week after church we drove straight to a pond nearby and went for a little walk. It was chilly but beautiful and refreshing and we came home and had a yummy brunch.

Lots of nature and bugs to check out.

Most of Fall Break was busy working on projects for school, but I made some time to watch the confirmation hearings for Amy Coney Barrett, vote and take the girls to the Layton museum to see the suffrage museum. Political involvement is important in our family!

Meagan and Grace came one day to have some Halloween fun with us. 

We took all the kids (and dog) on a walk.

And played.

And went on a hayride to the pumpkin patch!

The 3 oldest all carried and carved their own pumpkins and it was pretty impressive.

On Saturday morning we toured the Layton Temple site, and learned some cool stuff. One cool story is the President Monson and his counselors actually visited the site and declared it a future temple spot 10 years before President Nelsen announced it in conference. And the family had to keep it a secret that whole time.

We can't wait until our temple is complete! Should be right around the same time that Reagan is old enough to enter the temple for baptisms for the dead. 

Saturday afternoon Reagan and I went to the Ogden Nature Center where we've been volunteering for one of her school projects. We got this little garden all cleared out. I'm proud of her hard work.
