Spring Break

Instead of going out of town for Spring Break, we decided to stay home and take advantage of our freedom. Lance took some time off of work and we had some great adventures!

We started the week off right with General Conference. Can't beat that uplifting spirit! The girls "helped" me work on a 1500 piece puzzle while we were watching.

Unfortunately, it was a little chillier than we had planned for most of the week. However, we persevered. I've kind of lost track of which days we did things, but I don't think it really matters. Reagan did a handspring camp at gymnastics 3 afternoons, and during one day I took the younger kids to the airplane museum.

Another morning we planned a fishing trip and picnic with Lance at a nature park near Reagan's school. We didn't catch anything but a drowning butterfly but the girls had fun trying.

Straight after that we went up to the train museum in Ogden. Our first time there but we will definitely be back!

First the outdoor engines and cars. They were huge!

A park interlude while Reagan was at handspring camp,

then back to the museum! They indoor part had a huge model train that went all over and in and out of walls that was fascinating to watch.

Traveling in style.

Besides the trains, they also had a classic car and firearm museum that were pretty cool, too.

Thursday we drove about an hour north to a Baby Animal Days. The Brunsons were in town at this point and Joy offered to come with me and the girls. Thank goodness, because it was way  more crowded than I expected and we spent a lot of time switching waiting in line while the girls did things.

The highlight of the trip- baby bears! They were so cute and snuggly with their handlers.

Pony rides!

Maddie was up for most of the day until she finally crashed shortly before we left.

Definitely Reagan's favorite part- holding baby turtles!

Lots of other animals to see, too.

The last (and warmest) day of Spring Break was opening day of the Tulip Festival, one of our favorite things! Absolutely gorgeous this year .

Although it took Madelyn a minute to get into it.

But she got there!

Such a beauty!

Best daddy in the world!

Daryn was way into posing with her new sunglasses that Mimi sent her.

Maddie's first shoulder ride!

It was the perfect Spring Break! So nice to spend lots of time together as a family instead of all my time driving back and forth to school.
