Thursday morning we woke up to stunning views, and they just got better throughout the day! We were cruising slowly through the very picturesque Glacier Bay.
We saw some small chunks fall off and watched the ripples/waves come all the way back to our ship.
It was a beautiful warm morning and we spent most of the day on deck.
Including trying out the rock climbing. Reagan did great and Daryn was crushed that she was too small.
Lance and I both tried the hardest one. I didn't quite make it, but he did.
Maddie had fun playing with a balloon (her first time!) and napping.
The next morning (Frida) was our much-anticipated stop in Ketchican.
Lance and Shay and their parents were going deep-sea fishing on a private boat with Captain Jim!
They were pretty successful and caught halibut, rockfish, and cod and wound up with over 30 pounds of processed fish shipped to Brent!
They also caught two sting rays! Captain Jim said that was pretty unusual.
They threw them back.
While they were fishing, the moms took all the kids on a lighthouse/eagle/totem pole boat ride. It was low key and perfect for them to run around on.
They also loved the bus ride to the dock.

I spy totem poles! I think there were 11? on this island.
If you look closely in this picture (above the yellow canisters) you can see an eagle in flight with a salmon in its talons.
The kids loved having so much to see!

That night we cleaned up and had another nice dinner. We ate at the buffet-style restaurant that had a huge selection for almost every meal, but there were a couple times when we ate at one of the nicer sit down restaurants. Everyone except for Maddie behaved pretty well.
The girls were enchanted by the different towel animals that we found every night. The monkey was a huge hit and Reagan tried to sleep with her crab.
