In the middle of November we did a Brunson family Primary Program. Each of the kids gave talks (Reagan and Daryn wrote really great ones on their own) and they sang all the Book of Mormon primary songs.
And afterwards, a dance party!
And a walk through the wetlands. Before it got so cold!
Reagan had the option of an extra credit assignment to clean out a storm drain and she went above and beyond and picked the most clogged one she could find.
She also made snowball cookies on her own and they were delicious! She's a great apprentice baker.
We decided it was time to visit Colorado for Thanksgiving. Time for a road trip! I was a little stressed but things could not have gone smoother and we had an excellent visit with my parents.
So happy to be at Grandma and Grandpa's!
Each of the girls had a chance to help Grandma or Grandpa bake a pie. Maddie chose pumpkin.
Reagan went all in with lemon meringue- a Larsen tradition.

Thanksgiving morning, Daryn and Grandma made the apple pie.

I took the girls to my old stomping grounds.
We were lucky to see Eric and Cassidy and Travis and baby Charlie. She's so squishy and adorable!
On Friday Lance and I snuck off for a little shopping and a date. We drove to the Denver temple where we were married almost 11 years ago. It's the first time we've been back and it was fun to walk around the grounds and reminisce.
Meanwhile, Grandma was teaching the girls to make candycane cookies- another tradition!
The rest of our time was filled with reading and sitting by the fire. Not a bad way to spend a few days!
And more baby time. Dixie stole Charlie's toy and then tried to make up for it by holding her hand. Almost as good.
All too soon, it was time to leave. Mom and Dad drove up to the Fort Collins temple with us. Perfect way to start our Sunday drive home.
We were glad to get home and kick off the Christmas season. But first things first- Grace's birthday. High tea at the Grand America Hotel! Maddie got to come this year and they all behaved very well mostly. 
It was so fun to celebrate in such a fancy way!
We love the food, the hot chocolate, the decorations, the holiday window walk, the giant gingerbread house, the toy store, the Christmas trees- all of it!
Blade didn't get to go but he gets enough attention with all his adorableness. 
He scream-laughs hysterically to himself when he seees something he likes in a book.
One day Blade decided the food underneath Dixie's high chair needed to be swept up and he was just the guy for the job. He loves to help!
First time out to the store since March for Blade and ever for Dixie! Lance and I needed a few things at Home Depot.
The first week in December, Daryn had her final MLK speech contest (She won her class and school K-2 with her "God is Marching On" except.) She wound up winning 2 place in the whole district! She was pretty happy with the $75 she earned and I was pretty happy to not have to practice it anymore.
We're super proud of her hard work!
