New Years

 While we waited for New Years, we had some fun.

New jammies and new books are the best! 

And cute little nakey bums.

Installing new lights that we got ourselves for Christmas- not so fun. 

In fact, just as Lance was finishing the last one, he tightened it a little too much, and it cracked. Dang. Maybe one day we will fix it. Seems unlikely. 

Pieface from Merrill and Jamie was huge hit. Although there were tears on more than one occasion when someone didn't get splatted enough.

Finally, Gigi and Grandad arrived! The kids were over the moon. And of course they had lots of fun things for the kids. Blade got this little music box that was Lance's. We also got to go on a date!

We showed Gigi where we like to do our long walks.

Dixie was a little standoffish at first but she warmed up quickly.

We decided to go all out celebrating New Years Eve and schedule a colonoscopy for Lance. Yay...

The good news is, it went smoothly and everything is fine.

Then it was time to party!

Her little whipped cream face kills me.

We played lots of different games.

Everyone else went to bed early but Reagan and Daryn really wanted to stay up will midnight, and I figured, why not? (I've really loosened the rules since the pandemic started.) We played games until the last hour and then I just let them watch tv.

Welcome 2021!!

Thankfully they slept in late the next day but it still took them a couple days to recover.

Lance made a delicious prime rib dinner for New Years Day.

Some last minute playtime with Gigi before they had to leave later that day.

Luckily Meagan hung around and we had a quiet New Years night.
