Back to school

It was a month of big changes!

I took Blade to check out his new preschool at the open house and meet his teacher. 

Dixie tried out nursery. "Hey they have snacks! This might not be so bad, as long as Mom or Dad is watching."

Maddie had her kindergarten back to school night. Cutest kindergartener ever!

Time for haircuts- gotta look fresh!

I can't believe how long Daryn's hair was.

Not anymore!

Maddie just got a couple inches off and then wanted it braided.

They were ready to get out of the house!

We all love Daryn's teacher.

And Maddie had her kindergarten testing at the same time. She rocked it, even though she was super nervous.

They survived (and loved) their first day.

Dixie took full advantage of being the queen of the house.

Time to start that homework reading! As if they ever stopped...

I took the younger kids to Truplay, an indoor playground for ages 6 and under, a few times.

Dixie was determined to carry around this giant unicorn.

We love Truplay!

Dixie and Blade enjoyed a couple weeks of park time and story time by themselves.

Daryn made a new best friend right away.

Impromptu dance recital? Gotta blow off steam somehow!

Finally it was Maddie's first day! After meeting her teacher twice, she was more than ready.

"Best day ever!"

And Dixie once again ruled the house.

Still not sure about nursery though.

Dentist appointment! Dixie had her first and she did not take it well.

Look at those pearly whites. (Actually Maddie had our first ever cavity :(. )

Blade didn't start school until after Labor Day. Time for his first salon cut!

Just look at that handsome boy!

He was so done with waiting!

He has absolutely loved preschool since Day 1. 

And last but not least, Maddie started piano. Why does she look so big?? She wouldn't even let me walk her up to the door.

So proud of these kids, conquering the world!
