Birthday Girl!!

Well, Reagan's big day finally came and went. It started out with a visit from the birthday fairy, who left a bunch of balloons in her room overnight!
Reagan was so excited, she didn't know what to do!
She insisted on taking one to breakfast with her.
We spent a quiet morning hanging out and getting ready for the party. Frosting the cupcake cake took me a while!
Grace and Gigi (Lance's mom) came over to play in the afternoon, and Grace loved Reagan's new toys (thank you, garage sales).
...and we spent a while decorating. Thanks to Stuart for the awesome streamers!

Then it was time! Reagan got her special birthday outfit on.

Daddy came home and brought her flowers, which she tried her best to eat.
 The presents were ready:
 And the other guests arrived!
(not pictured: Reagan's aunt, cousin, and uncle)

First we played outside for a little
Then we had dinner, which was delayed a little after a slight mishap with the propane for the grill. No worries- lots of fruit to keep us busy in the meantime!
Then it was time for presents! The singing card from Aunt Meagan was a big hit.
It was hit-or-miss with Reagan and the presents- she just couldn't sit still for that long!
 After a brief mental breakdown...
 ....we forged on.
I'm not sure what she's doing here...diving after something?

Has a baby ever been more loved?
Finally, I finished up the presents.

What a pile of loot- thanks everyone!
And of course, we saved the best for last. Cake! I made Reagan a mini triple layer cake.
It took me a lot longer to make it than it took her to shred it. See for yourself.

At her doctor's appointment this morning, she measured in at 19.3 lbs and 29.2 inches. That's 20th/60th percentile. Tall and skinny!
And to finish things up, here are a couple pictures from her photo shoot a couple weeks ago. She had such a great birthday. We're so glad for family and friends that made our baby's day extra special!

Fathers Weekend

Before I get to Fathers Day, here's a few pictures from last weekend.
Last Saturday we went to an archery range with Becca and AJ. It was great to see them and their little baby boy bump! Reagan enjoyed sitting in her stroller and eating cheese while we practiced our aim.

This weekend, we decided to go camping for Fathers Day! It was our first time camping with Reagan. We were pretty nervous, but she absolutely loved it. We went up Ogden Canyon past Pineview Reservoir,  and it was gorgeous. We got to our campsite before dark and we able to set up our tent and build a fire. While we cooked tin foil dinners and peach cobbler, Reagan entertained herself by walking around, banging rocks together, and climbing in and out of the tent. She was having the best time ever- I've never seen her so happy and self-entertained.

She loved the little camp chair we bought her at a garage sale and kept trying to climb up in it so she could sit with us.

We all went to bed around 11- way past Reagan's bedtime. She went right to sleep but unfortunately our neighbors did not- they stayed up and partied loud until 4 am. Between the noise and the cold- it got down to the 30's- none of us got much sleep.
Reagan got up for good around 5:30, so we decided to make breakfast. It was so cold. I was hoping the sun would come up past the mountain, but that didn't happen until around 8- right when we finished packing things up! Luckily Reagan had her double fleece pjs to keep her warm.

After we loaded up the car, we drove a few minutes to the reservoir so Lance could go fishing. He didn't catch anything, but it was a beautiful morning and we had a great time.
Reagan played in the sand with her bear and her book, and she thought it was great fun.
But not as much fun as wading! The water wasn't too cold, so we decided to get our feet in.
 Brrrr!!
Reagan loved it, and splashed her legs, one at at time, as high as she could.
We finally got home around noon, and Reagan and Lance both took a very long nap. After that, we headed over to the park for some playtime!
Rea loved the peepholes in the tunnel. They were just her size!

After a very long and busy day, we all slept like logs that night and woke up refreshed for Fathers Day!
Love this man- the greatest dad in the world!
Reagan was such a good daughter and got these presents for her daddy:
A plate and a new picture for his office!

I had this picture taken as a surprise when I did her birthday pictures last week. I'll post the rest this week after her birthday. Only 4 mores days until the big 1!
