A Week With Grandma

My mom and Evan drove out here last Saturday for Spring Break to see the kids. We packed tons of fun in while they were here! First stop: Monday and the Dinosaur Park.

A beautiful day with lots of fun in the sun!

Tuesday: The Air Force Museum!

We had never been but we loved it and will definitely be going back!

Reagan loved her new toy airplane and zoomed it all over.

 Big planes and small planes!
 And another perfect day :).

Wednesday was gymnastics, lunch, and hanging out at home.

Thursday was rainy, snowy, and perfect for the Treehouse Museum! Unfortunately I was feeling pretty sick and Daryn was very fussy from missing so many naps that I didn't take more than a few pictures.
Reagan's favorite part was definitely building with Uncle Evan.

On Thursday night my dad flew out to join us, and the girls were thrilled! They especially loved his beard- always a big hit!
 Reverse wagon rides. Strong girl!
We had such a wonderful time with my family here! It was so fun to play and hang out and party! We miss them already.

Daddy's Girls

These 2 girls are obsessed with their daddy, and with good reason. Best dad ever! Reagan and Lance went on a little date last weekend to see Thumbelina. Lucky ducks!

As for this little one, let's just say she's got her dad wrapped around her teeny finger.

Morning snuggles.

Bathtime snuggles.

Nighttime snuggles.
Last night Lance brought Daryn into our room to say hi after her late night feeding, and she was so thrilled. Wide awake and not even interested in sleep. Lucky for her she's such a cutie; I didn't even mind. :)

10 months

Daryn turned 10 months old on Sunday. What a big girl! The exciting news in her life is that she is completely mobile! A few weeks ago, she started scooting around, and she's now perfected her crawl/scoot/bear crawl/roll so she can get wherever she wants! So far she hasn't caused too much havoc, but she does know where her favorite toys are and can get them herself. I love seeing her move all over the place. Honestly, we weren't sure if or when she would ever be able to crawl, so for her to hit that milestone right on time what a huge blessing for us. She is so incredible, especially when she does things her own way! She amazes us every day with the things she is capable of and her sweet cheerful spirit. We don't deserve her. On another note, I finally pushed her to drop a feeding and move to a 4 hr schedule this week, because she wasn't nursing well. She's adjusted pretty well and it's a big relief to not have to feed her every 3 hours. Plus, now she takes 2 longer naps and stays awake longer, rather than trying to squeeze a 3rd one in, and her meals match up with ours a lot better. She's eating a lot of baby food lately, as well as solids, and is starting to put on the weight. She was 15 lbs 10 oz when we weighed her on Saturday, up over a pound from the month before. Yay! She is growing up so fast!

St. Paddy's Day

We had a fairly quiet, chilly March holiday at the Brunson's. The girls did dress festively on Sunday and Monday.

Daryn had a massive colostomy bag poo-splosion during her nap on Sunday, so her outfit was washed and ready to be worn again the next day! Lucky.
This girl has some drive! Busy at work already.

During naptime on Monday, we had a mischievous leprechaun visit our house. He stole one on Reagan's kitchen pots and left us a trail of footprints all over our yard. Reagan was thrilled and followed them diligently...
up and over the fence...
Until we found the leprechaun's pot of gold at the end of the rainbow! What a treasure.

A Mix of Pix

Just a few snippets of our life from the past few weeks.
These girls love each other. Like a lot.

This girl is starting to get into all sorts of mischief.
Play hard, sleep hard. And/or finally crash after a very long day at the doctors'.

Wedding reception with these cuties. Close enough to a date.

 Zebra rides!

Our new fence! We are loving our (relatively) child-safe backyard.

This super-unflattering picture of me is because I got my last 2 wisdom teeth out on Friday. It was really fun. In reality, the recovery wasn't bad at all. No swelling and minimal pain. I'm basically back to normal. Plus, who can complain with bed companions like those?
