Christmas #2

On Friday we jetted of to New Mexico for a fun, if brief, Christmas reenactment! Of course, Reagan and I were still sick, and Lance was just getting started. After a short flight and a longer car drive, we got in around 2 am Friday night. It was so exciting to see everybody! Reagan had a wonderful time playing with her other cousins, and they were so sweet to her! I think Reagan is learning quickly that the grandparents' houses have a lot more fun toys than hers does, and she took full advantage! We had a great time just hanging out, opening presents, and relaxing.

We got to shoot Lance's dad's new crossbow

Reagan and Gigi
Reagan liked her new cowboy boots, but she loved her gatorade cup!
Beauty and the Beast was a big hit, too

I thought she would be too small for it, but Reagan LOVED this rocking horse
And Cal loved ticking her
What a happy girl!

Tongue for Grace...

Tongue for Cal...

And tongue for the camera!

Cousins!

And last but not least, Sunday was Lance's grandma's 81st birthday, and Reagan got to wear her Christmas dress one last time.

We had a wonderful trip, but we are so glad to be back home in our own beds. Happy 2012!

Christmas #1

This year we were lucky to be able to go to my parents house in Colorado for Christmas. Reagan and I flew in late on the 21st, which happened to be her half birthday! My mom made a half cake to honor it.

We stayed busy with lots activities there. My favorite was going to the pool- Reagan's first time! At first she was overwhelmed and clung to me, but she eventually got the hang of it! Especially when we took er in the lazy river- she loved riding the innertubes.
Even the baby slide was a little big for her, but still a good time!

We had a hard time trying to get a good daddy-daughter picture.
Unfortunately Reagan and I both got sick while we were there, but Reagan still managed to retain her good temperament.
The night we flew in, it snowed over a foot! It was wonderful to have a white Christmas, especially since we have gotten zero snow here in Provo. You wouldn't think I would have to go out of Utah to introduce Reagan to the white powdery stuff. And don't try to tell me that snowsuit isn't the cutest thing you've ever seen, because I won't believe you.
Reagan had so much fun at Grandma and Grandpa's, I don't think she ever wanted to leave! So many fun toys and cousins to play with!
And finally, the big day arrived.
"Oh Mom, you tell such funny jokes."
 "I want Eve's orange."
"Maybe if I move my arm over real slowly..."

 "Closer....almost there....act like nothings happening...."
"Hey, get your own orange, Reagan!"
 "And stay away from mine!"
 What a little imp.

"If I can't have an orange, I guess my shoe will have to do!"
Later on in the day.... (talking to Evan on the phone!)

"You eat that end, I'll eat this end."
All three cousins! Minus baby Asher. What a sweetie.
Finally we get to the good stuff- presents! Reagan loved her bows.

And last but not least. Reagan takes really long naps when she is sick. At this point, she had been sleeping for over 3 hours, so Lance decided to get her up. She was totally out with her face pressed into the mesh playpen. That's what tylenol will do to you!
It was a wonderful weekend with lots of family. In two days we jet off to New Mexico for Christmas #2!

Hooray!!

Today is one of the best days of one of my best friend's life.

I have been on team Marissa and Chase from the very beginning.

Reagan and I are headed up to the airport this afternoon as part of a large group.

Welcome home, Elder Anderson!

Oh, and just because I can:

Almost there!

We have been in the Christmas season full swing the past few weeks! Last weekend we did a little Christmas cruise on the Provo River. The lights reflecting off the water were beautiful.
And Reagan got to meet Santa, if only briefly.
We went fishing for babies, and caught a good one! Here she is taking the bait.
She loves our Christmas tree and will sit in front of it for minutes, until she topples over.
She has started doing swimming motions all the time, and pushes up on all fours. She will be crawling soon!
And she FINALLY (3 months later) learned how to roll onto her back! She has been rolling all over the past few days, and kept getting stuck by the couch.
Still getting the hang of her sippy cup. Her clothes always get soaked so sometimes its easier to just take her clothes off.
Our tree! With lots of presents underneath.

And best of all, last week we had family pictures taken for Christmas and Reagan's 6 months!
 She behaved pretty well.

And she sticks her tongue out all the time.
Today we finished up all out Christmas shopping. The crowds and traffic were terrible. Reagan and I are off to Colorado in 4 days, and Lance will be joining us on Friday! I can't wait for Christmas and for Reagan to see so many cousins!

Little Baby and Big Babies

What a weekend! Our weekdays are pretty much filled with work, so I feel like we are so busy having fun on the weekends that I barely have time to catch my breath! Reagan had the chance to play with a couple other (older) babies, and she loved it. What a little social butterfly. Makes me even more excited for Christmas to see nieces and nephews. Friday night was our niece's 2nd birthday up in Park City. Reagan was in love!
Then things got up close and personal:
Maybe a little TOO up close and personal.
Apparently Gracie has some European customs? Just kidding, we're trying to teach Reagan how to give kisses right now.

Saturday we had some shopping to do. Reagan was a good sport about it, and shopped till she dropped. She was so tired she fell asleep holding her little carseat toy.

But Saturday night was by far the best part of the weekend. Marissa, kind soul that she is, volunteered to take some time out of her extremely busy day to babysit Reagan so we could go on a date! It's only the second real date we've been on in almost 6 months. She was also watching her niece Millie for part of the night, so Reagan got another baby to play with! Unfortunately for Marissa, Reagan was more interested in doing what she does best, pulling hair.
Lance and I went to Outback, saw Breaking Dawn, and then walked around in all the christmas lights in Riverwoods. They were sooo beautiful. Maybe even more beautiful than Temple Square. In a different way. It was most wonderful to have some time to ourselves, and Reagan was apparently just a sweetie. Didn't even miss us. Can't say I blame her.
