Ogden Temple

We were so excited to be able to go through the beautiful new Ogden temple! Reagan especially, since she knows normally grown-ups get to go in. It was such a gorgeous building and I can't wait till it opens and Lance and I can go!

So fun to go with cousins.

Davis County Fair

I took the girls to the fair on Wednesday, mostly to see the princess show they were doing. So fun!
 My girls' reactions:
All the different princesses got up and sang a song and told their story, and then they brought all the kids on stage! Cinderella (a friend of ours from church) helped Reagan right up!
After the show, we waited for Stuart and Genevieve by the entrance and Reagan colored on this giant poster. Talk about focused!
After they got there, we watched an elephant show and went on a few rides. So fun!

Thanksgiving Point

Thanksgiving Point has $2 Tuesdays in August, so we decided to go check it out. We wanted to visit the new children's museum, which we've heard is amazing, but the line was so long we opted for the other exhibits. We'll go back after school starts when it isn't so crowded!

We spent most of our time at the farm. They had tons of animals. My favorite was the peacock strutting around with its tail spread, but he closed it before I could snap a picture. So close!
There were chickens and goats and bunnies and pigs.
 And horses!
 And pony rides!

Then we went to the dinosaur museum and had lunch and looked at fossils. Reagan liked the hands-on exhibits.
And I think this giant shark was her favorite part! She sure isn't scared of much.
Daryn was less than impressed with the whole place, because she had to spend most of it in her stroller. Sorry kiddo!

Family Hike

Since summer is almost over, we realized it is past time to take Daryn on her very first hike! We went up Adam's Canyon but veered off and went to the closer waterfall, since it was a hot day and we were pretty tired from swimming and working in the yard all day. The cool water when we got there was perfect for relaxing!
This was as close as Reagan would get. It was loud!
Lance and Reagan did their part to build up the small dam.
The absolute perfect way to spend and August afternoon. We are planning on going back when the colors are changing! Can't wait.

Lagoon 2.0

After Lance and I went to Lagoon, I decided to use my bounce back pass to get in for $12 and take Reagan for her first time! I was a little worried how things would go- she's been acting up a lot lately- but we needed some mommy-daughter time and it was sooo fun! I didn't realize how many rides she could go on! We were there for over 5 hours and didn't even get them all.

Teacups

 Whale

 Selfies!

Some rides required intense concentration.

Roller coasters are her favorite!
 Even big kids ones.
We stopped by Lagoon-a-Beach but of course it was the only cloudy part of the day, so we didn't stay long. More time for other rides!

This wasn't from Lagoon, but the Farmer's Market the next day. But it's really cute. She struggled to choose between the shark and dinosaur. Not such a girly girl!

Cousin time

Lance's mom was in town the past week, so we got to have lots of fun playtime! We met Grace and Meagan and Joy in Salt Lake on Monday and went to Discovery Gateway kids museum.
Everyone had a blast!

And at dinner after, Daryn even let Joy hold her. Baby steps.

Then later on that week, Meagan and Joy were nice enough to watch all the kids so Lance and I could go to Lagoon! We had such a great time! Short lives for most of the day. We were so busy, the only picture we took was when we stuck on the gondola going across the park.

The girls had lots of fun at home.
They stayed overnight, and later that night Lance and I got to go see a movie. Guardians of the Galaxy. I wasn't too excited about it, but it was actually really good! The next morning, Lance took Grace and Reagan to Home Depot for the kids workshop to build pencil holders.
They left around lunch time, and then later that evening, Merrill and Jamie got here with their kids! They were staying over on their move to Colorado. So fun for Reagan to get to play with some cousins that she doesn't get to see very often. So much fun, that we didn't get any pictures :). We loved getting to spend so much time with family the past week!
