Reagan's birthday

My little girl is 5!! Oh my. For her birthday this year, she really, really wanted a Lagoon party. So we bit the bullet and went for it. 5 5-6 year olds, plus Daryn and Madelyn. Lance and I rocked it, if I do say so myself. I think they all had a blast!

I even convinced Haisley to go on this roller coaster that she was scared of with me, and she loved it!

Maddie was a good sport about it all. Lance and I took turned watching the little girls and the big girls.

Haha I love how bored Daryn looks in this picture.

Bumble bee cupcakes!

We even did Lagoon-A-Beach! No small feat with just Lance watching 6 girls while I sat on the side with the baby. Although of course it got cloudy and chilly as soon as we got in, so we didn't stay in the water long.
 Back to the rides!

Cousin love.

Things went very smoothly until the very end. We were on the second to last ride (the parachute one) and got stuck on it for over half an hour because of throw up! Yikes. So the party went a little later than we anticipated. Reagan loved it though, and still talks about it often.

Grace got her this beautiful intricate fairy garden as a gift. We love it! So magical.

Reagan's party was a week before her birthday. On the actual day, we partied again!

 Maddie got all jazzed up.

First thing was story time at the library. They got way into it.

Then Reagan helped me make her birthday cake. Sprinkle cake with strawberry frosting.

She even made a cake for Maddie so she wouldn't feel left out.

Then some art for this beauty.

We had gymnastics that evening, and Reagan was excited to bring treats for her friends and get thrown in the foam pit. Then it was time for dinner (she requested mac n cheese, hot dogs, peas from the garden and broccoli.)

And presents! I am so over toys for my kids, so Reagan got some more practical gifts this year.

Fishing pole, sleeping bag, garden tools, art supplies. She loved it!

Happy birthday, sweet girl!

Apparently the cake was pretty good.

Fathers' Day

We had a great time celebrating Lance this year. We went swimming on Saturday and got sushi. (For him. Not me.)

Sunday was a good day. Lance came home from his early meetings and played with the girls.

Meagan came to church with us and Maddie was a little pouty about it.
Until we realized she just wanted to lay down a little more :). Don't worry, this girl loves her aunt!

Apparently getting a picture with all three girls was asking too much, so this was as close as we could get. These girls adore their daddy so much!!
 And this one, too.
We had brisket for dinner and coconut cream pie for dessert. Lance opened his presents, and I think the one Reagan picked out (and paid for herself) may have been his favorite. New golf clubs so they can play golf together! :) Just what every dad needs.
We are so lucky that we got the best daddy in the whole world!!!

Madelyn 2 (and 3) months.

So Maddie is apparently our giant baby (we needed someone to balance out petite Daryn). By 8 weeks, she was wearing mostly 6 month clothing (including these adorable pjs from Meagan).
I can't remember her exact stats, but you can see her at her 2 month appointment, she was off the charts in height. Crazy! I blame her tall uncles.
I don't remember too much about her at 2 months, but I do know she has been kind of a hard baby. For the first 2.5 months, she wanted to eat every 2-2.5 hours and was really pushing against sleeping through the night. She was also getting crankier and crying after eating. So we got her on some reflux medication, and she immediately started doing much better. Dropped 2 feedings within the week.

Looks like we've got ourselves another Daddy's girl!

I took these on her 2 month birthday as a Father's Day present for Lance for his office. Oh she's such a doll!!

Sweet snuggly girl.

And so happy!

Reagan took these pictures and I love them.

Church selfie.

3 month pictures!

She hit 3 months last week! 14.75 lbs She is much happier with her meds but still has a voracious appetite. Some nights she sleeps 9 hours and some nights she still wakes up. She is wearing some 6 month clothing, some 9 month (and even outgrowing some). She just started laughing and grabbing her feet yesterday. This poor girl just gets dragged around everywhere and takes in all in stride. She loves her playmat and is starting to take to the door jumper. How is she this big already?? I love her to pieces but miss my newborn already.

Water babies

We kicked off summer with 2 weeks straight of swimming lessons! We heard about a lady that does them in her backyard and caters pretty well to different levels in two sessions. It worked great for us! The girls went right after each other.

Reagan's first time off the diving board. She belly-flopped, HARD. I felt bad for laughing, but it was so funny. She learned quickly though, and by day 2 was jumping and swimming to the edge all by herself. She really excelled and I was so proud of her.

Maddie had lots of carseat naps during this time. Actually, that's been the case most of this summer.
Also, unrelated, but one day she had this giant booger and she just looked so satisfied, it was pretty funny :).

Popsicles at the end! Daryn almost passed level 1, and Reagan passed level 2.

After swim lessons, we have tried to get to the pool as much as possible this summer- no easy feat with our busy schedules. We tried out the Bountiful pool for the first time and loved it. They had a fun outdoor ship pool and a good inside. We will be back!

And of course, the Roy pool is always our favorite. Before she was 2 months, Madelyn was joining the fun!
It's growing on her.

We love that sun!!

And when we can't make it to the big pool, there's always the backyard ones.
Maddie even uses her new floaty in it and pushes her feet on the bottom!

We love swimming! I thought we might have to cut back this summer with a baby because it would be too difficult, but we got this!
