Family Fun

We've been up to some silly, happy, and exciting things over the past month!

Reagan and I had a blast with her first crazy hair day at school. Donut hair!

I took the girls to Pizza Pie Cafe one night for a fundraiser. Things went surprisingly well.

My new sister-in-law came to visit for a few days! The girls loved spending time with their new Aunt Diana and we spent lots of girl time wedding dress shopping!

My personal fave. Russian winter coat dress.

Silly girls with dad at the park.

Dollface.

Lance and I got to go on awesome date while Lance's parents kept the girls! First we went to the temple, then came home and changed and hiked up to the Adam's Canyon waterfall. We like hiking with the girls but we've been dying to do a real hike without carrying children for a while. It was a gorgeous day and the colors were beautiful

At Meagan's the next day for Sunday dinner.

Daryn loves to make this egg-carrot soup and feed it to everyone often.

This face. Seriously.

 Maddie and Daddy. Best buds.
She's his biggest fan.

Maddie does this new thing when she smiles she squints her eyes. Totally adorable.

Life with 3 kids and Sam's Club trips. A joke. Can you spot the baby?

Shenanigans.

Maddies was kind of obsessed with watching Reagan's dance class. Another future dancer?

Sisters are the absolute best.

Reagan turned Madelyn into a "polar bear."

We took all the kids to a BYU football game! I got to chat with Marissa for couple hours first. Lots going on in her life, so it was great to catch up.

We all had a great time, even though (because?) we only stayed for about 2/3 of the game. BYU smashed SUU.

I am definitely the luckiest.

I also took the girls to see an Elephant and Piggie play with Meagan and Grace. It was so cute!!

They climbed up on the big windowsill in the bathroom and saw a big hill they wanted to roll down.

So we did :). We sat on this hill for over an hour while the girls played in sunshine and leaves. Perfect moments.

We've been enjoying the fruits from our garden still growing with such an unseasonably late frost. Stuffed spaghetti squash!

Earlier this week Lance heard on the radio about the Capitol Christmas tree that was making a stop in Ogden on its way to Washington, D.C. So we stopped by to see it before gymnastics. Pretty cool how big the trailer was holding it!

One end was see through so you could see part of the tree.

We also met Smokey Bear!
Fun to get our first glimpse of Christmas cheer. Can't believe Thanksgiving is next week!

Madelyn 6 months

I can't believe little Maddie is 1/2! It really does go by faster with each baby. I feel like her babyhood is going by so fast! Although Madelyn has been kind of a harder than her sisters (bigger appetite and worse sleeper) she is such a delight at the same time. We all adore her!

At 6 months, Maddie has finally slowed down on the growth a little. She weighs 17 lbs 11 oz (80th %) and is 28 inches long (99th %). She's at least a little closer to the charts than she was before. She wears 9 and 12 month clothing, size 3 diapers, size 1 shoes. She eats every 4 hours during the day and sleeps 12 hours at night (with one late night feeding I still can't kick!). Her naps are hit and miss, especially since we are on such rigid schedules with the big girls.

She has been very busy the past month. She's learning to sit but can't balance on her own for more than a few seconds still.

She's reaching for the phone but I love how it looks like she's taking a selfie.

She has totally mastered rolling back and forth. (It was very disruptive to nap time for a few weeks when she rolled on to her tummy and got stuck. Many, many times.) She also scoots around decently on her back and likes to turn in circles.

She loves to stand and is pretty solid on those little legs.

Maddie's very favorite activities in the whole world are (in this order):
Swinging

Bathtime (she splashes non-stop)

Bouncing (yes, she made the mess in the second pic and chewed up several of my recipes)

And her new favorite, Eating Food. We started letting her have chunks of food on her half birthday and she is in baby heaven. She gums them all down.

First taste: avocado and bell pepper!

So far she likes everything she's tried but pickles and peanut butter especially have been a huge hit.

Little nakey chunk!

Apparently she can give herself bottles. Convenient, when the occasion arises.

Surprisingly, her sisters are still completely obsesses with her. Like, all the time. I guess I can't blame them.
 I am, too.
You're halfway there, Madelyn Joy!
