The rest of January

Lance and the girls have really been enjoying their one-on-one dates every Friday (Each girl gets one a month). January was Baskin Robbins, February was Chick-fil-a. Next up- Pizza Pie Cafe. 

We enjoyed a last-minute visit with Stuart and Genevieve's family when they came to visit her grandpa shortly before he passed. Their kids are getting so big and we miss having them nearby!

On the night of the lunar eclipse we let the girls stay up late and we made galaxy donuts from a kit someone gave us. Such a fun activity.

I said "make your moon faces!" ???

Delicious and on theme!

Lance and I kept an eye on the moon after they went to bed but it got cloudy before we could see it turn red. 

Blade's first time sledding! He did not like it- maybe because he was sick?

The girls had a blast and all went down by themselves and even brought their own sleds up multiple times!

Reagan and Daryn had been begging to do the Weber State cheerleading camp again that they did a couple years ago. Maddie was old enough to participate also, so I signed them all up.

They were super excited for their halftime performance and could hardly sit still. 

Especially when Waldo was nearby!

Daryn and Reagan did great. Maddie literally just stood there, which was entertaining to watch also. 

One day at Sams Club, Daryn said "Woah, that green thing does NOT look safe for a slide!" 

It was a folded up slide on a playset. Literally almost completely vertical. Good thinking, Daryn.

On a pizza movie night, I caught Blade looking back, wondering when we were going to give him more food. 

I came back to the car one day after walking Reagan into dance and found this. 

Maybe you should have stayed in your seat, Daryn. I'm not even sure how this happened.

Blade 10 months

This adorable smiley guy is only 2 months from his birthday! He is such a happy fellow. 

Like seriously almost always. He loves food and his bath especially.

And his sisters. Maddie is a great big sister to him, if a little rough at times.

They all love to play with him.

He is way into selfies. Typical.

 Perfect little mohawk and he looks goofy in hats. I prefer the helmet.

Some things about Blade at 10 months:

Finally growing! Weighed in at 17.7 lbs, or just over 10th percentile. Not sure on height, but he's actually starting to outgrow some of his clothes, so that's a good sign.  He babbles and squeals all the time, but no more words yet. He loves baby food and table food is rapidly growing on him. Nurses 4 times a day, sleeps 12-13 hours a night, 2 long naps and sometimes a 3rd. He can't crawl traditionally yet, but gets on his hands and knees and awkwardly scoots forward until he falls over.  Sits up and down and rolls constantly. Is so good natured about almost everything. Still only 2 teeth and still spits up a lot :(. Still working on the helmet situation- not a lot of progress so far. Has lots of stranger danger when other people approach him (but surprisingly did great with the babysitter).

At the end of the day he's just my little snuggly bear and I hope he stays that way forever. 

Lance's birthday

It's my favorite day of the year, because I get to celebrate my favorite person! Lance's birthday (and the day before) was full of cooking delicious things. You know what they say about the way to a man's heart...

After work and in between piano lessons, we had his requested dinner of stuffed bell peppers and green beans, and I threw in some homemade pasta. Lance then left for a religion class, while we got ready for the rest of the fun!

The star of the show: (Mormon) tiramisu trifle. Sooo yummy. 

We got everything ready and waited not-so-patiently for Lance to get home.

"Get him when he walks through the door!"

Best dad ever. 

And the luckiest. Look at that crew.

Lance was pretty happy with his gifts, especially his fancy knife sharpener. 

Since the girls had the next day off of school, we continued the birthday fun with a trip to the Ice Castles in Midway.

The slides were so fun!

Maddie threw a lot of snow at me.

It's a magical place.

After we left we met up with Meagan and Grace at Market Street grill so Lance could get some yummy seafood. It was a little wild but a good time.

And we finished up the fun with a temple date on Saturday. It was perfect!

The girls wore green to church because it's Daddy's favorite color.

And we ended the day with Reagan losing her other front tooth finally! (Her first one was pulled years ago). It got bumped pretty bad during a rough game of tag and then she was brave and let Lance pull it out! Second tooth in 3 days, too. 

Perfect end to a perfect weekend with our practically perfect guy.
