Thanksgiving 2021

We packed a lot into one week. To kick things off, the kids looked very dapper for church.
They were singing "The Sacred Grove" by themselves in the Primary Program and they did such a great job.

Dixie couldn't resist the chance to get into some trouble.

The Monday of Thanksgiving week was the Layton City lighting ceremony. We had to check it out.

The magic never gets old.

For Thanksgiving we drove to my parents' in Denver. Sharon and Andrew met us there. We had such a fun week! So much to do. Let's get started.

First thing, snuggles.

New friends!

Grandpa's home- get him!

Maddie and Cora shared a room for one night and I found them like this.

Of course there were fires.

And books.

Lots of coloring and art projects.

There's always time to be silly.

We tried playing some Smith v Brunson football at the park Thanksgiving morning. I'd say the results were mixed.

All dressed in their Thanksgiving best.

Time to feast!

Biding our time until...

Pies!

Friday morning, we got up and got ready for family pictures. With a little bribing, they turned out great!

Grandpa helped keep Dixie occupied while we waited our turn.

That evening, Sharon, Andrew, Lance and I went on a double date to the Ft Collins Temple. A rare opportunity- thanks to Mom and Dad for babysitting!

We finished the night at TGI Fridays and it was a blast.

Saturday morning was Santa at Cabelas.

And then we discovered a huge new park nearby and spent at least an hour there.

We even let Reagan try one of these trampoline jumpers that she's always wanted to do.

After that we took all the kids swimming. What a busy day!

But we weren't done yet. We drove to downtown Denver that evening to see the Mile High Tree and visit the Giving Machines.

It was way cool to be inside it.

It was a miracle we were all able to smile at that point!

Time to say goodbye and head home!

We stopped at Little America for ice cream.

Which was fine until the kids took 30 minutes to eat their cones. Blade's face when he found out we threw his away.

We were glad to be home after a whirlwind trip!
