Salt Lake

Last night I headed up to meet Lance in Salt Lake after he finished work. I got to see his new office...
...and he was kind enough to model his typical day for me. :)
Then we headed over to see the lights on Temple Square for a little bit. They were beautiful but our pictures did not turn out so well.
Reagan managed to stay warm by eating her mittens.
Then we got to go meet up with Stuart for dinner! Reagan was so excited to meet her uncle.
 They had a bonding moment.

And today, Reagan decided she was ready to start sitting! Up until now, she has only been able to balance for a few seconds. But today, she was sitting like she'd been doing it her whole life. I left the pillows around her just in case.
 Look at me, Mom!

A Feast For All

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving today. Even though she is small, Reagan did not want to be left out of the good eatin. So we introduced her to her first veggie- in honor of the day, sweet potatoes! I'd say they were a success.

Lance and I definitely enjoyed our meal, too.
And Reagan and Lance enjoyed some Daddy-daughter time. It's so good to have Lance home for a few days!

5 months

Reagan made it to 5 months yesterday! What a big girl. She had her doctors appointment today, and here are her stats:

Weight: 14lbs 14 oz (50th percentile exactly- no surprise there)
Height: 25.5 inches (65th percentile)
Head: Didn't measure (after all, it was only an appointment for shots)

Skills: Not too much different than last month. Learning to sit, sticks her bum in the air and moves her legs when on her tummy, very giggly and smiley,  eats rice cereal pretty well from a spoon 3 times a day, very good at grabbing things and putting them in her mouth, sleeps 11 hours at night and eats 5 times a day, loves playing "airplane" and being held up high, and jumping in her musical bouncer. She is just the sweetest baby ever! STILL can't roll over front to back though. It's getting ridiculous. I'm hopeful that she'll be able to sit well and maybe be close to crawling by Christmas!
I forgot to take any cute pictures of Reagan yesterday, and since she just got her shots, that probably isn't going to happen today. Lance did bring her home some flowers yesterday, though, and she loved them! I couldn't even get her to look at the camera. (Ok, she might have been more in love with the crinkly plastic around them.) Either way, she was very pleased with this recognition of her birthday.

Look at those cheeks! The milk goes straight there. They are just the most kissable cheeks ever! We are so lucky to have the sweetest, easiest baby ever!

Yummy yummy

Marissa got the video to work! She also wrote a blog about Reagan's celebrity twin here. In other news, I forgot to mention that Reagan started laughing! Maybe we can get a video of that some time, but don't hold your breath.

We love rice cereal!

And when I say we, I mean Reagan. We gave her her first shot at (semi-)solid food today! We took a supercute video, but stupid blogger wont let me upload it. She LOVED it. Even though she wasn't very good at swallowing it, she couldn't get enough. I'm pretty sure almost none made to to her stomach, most of it drooled out of her mouth. Probably because it was pretty runny. Tomorrow I'll make it thicker. But she was quite happy to give it a shot!
Thumbs up for rice cereal!
"Give me more, Mom!"

She also wore her first hat today! Thanks Maren for making such a cute one.

Also, the other day she grabbed the mirror and was studying herself quite seriously for several minutes. Probably seeing all her flaws, like a typical woman. She doesn't even know she's perfect!

Halloween!

Since it was Reagan's first Halloween, we had to celebrate in style. Reagan dressed up as a little cow (because she loves her milk so much!) and Lance and I dressed (loosely) as farmers, the caretakers of the cow. The festivities began with our ward Trunk-or-Treat on Thursday.Although I'm not sure that Reagan really understood the concept, she did great at holding her pumpkin almost the entire time, even when it had candy in it!Even cows get tired and have to suck their thumbs sometimes. After that, Lance was worn out but Reagan was ready for a weekend of partying! On Monday she got to wear her Halloween bib. On a side note, it drives me crazy how she will never smile for pictures. She smiles almost constantly, but the instant you pull out a camera, away it goes. That evening, we had pumpkin-shaped pizza for dinner from Papa Murphys. Then went trick-or-treating! We hit the mall and then the library.Overall, a very successful holiday!
