10 months!

Our baby turns 1 in just two months! She has become such an adventurous little girl. She loves to be outside, playing in the grass and eating sticks, and she loves her swim lessons.

Skills: waves (not usually at the right time), walks- 24 steps is her record!, says dada and mama sometimes at the right time, and tonight she said duck in the bath. She plays crawl-chase with her daddy, and can do peek a boo on her own. She go up the staircase like a rock climber, and has freaked me out a couple times when I forgot to close the gate and she went upstairs to play with her toys! She is just started to try to climb on furniture, and yesterday she realized that she can open cabinets- darn. She weighs 19.2 lbs, which puts her at the 43rd percentile. She is transforming from a baby to a toddler and it's just amazing to watch! She is such a happy girl and is the star of the show wherever she goes. We went to a friend's shower on Friday, and she was so well-behaved and everyone loved her. Lucky because she's been teething bad this week, so it was hit-or-miss. Afterwards we got to see Marissa and Chase's new apartment- can't believe they are getting married in less than 2 weeks!  We also got to see my brother this week. Reagan loves her Uncle Stuart- and his scruff!
Today we went to the Tulip Festival and got some really cute pictures of Reagan.

We also tilled and planted our garden- it was a lot of work! Lance and I both got pretty sunburned. Thank goodness tomorrow is Sunday. Day of rest!

Growling and Walking

One of Reagan's favorite games is the growly game. You growl at her, and she growls back. This can go on for quite a while, and usually Lance or I quit before she does, because it's hard on the throat! It's hard to get videos of Reagan because she loves the camera and gets so distracted by it, but I managed to capture this today:
I was watching it on my computer before I uploaded it, and Reagan was on my lap. Every time I growled in the video, she would growl in real life. It was pretty cute.

After several tries, I also got her taking a few steps. What a big girl! She's been walking for a week and a half now.

Marissa's Bath

I mean shower. Saturday morning, bright and early, we headed down to Provo to throw Marissa a bridal shower! Can't believe this girl is getting married in 25 days! The shower was so much fun. Lance was such a good sport, and ran the waffle bar for an hour!
We played tons of fun games, but the most entertaining was watching a blindfolded girl do Marissa's makeup- foreshadowing the wedding?
Reagan was a big hit.
We also played the Newlywed game, where Marissa had to answer questions about Chase. Every time she got one wrong, she got a piece of bubblegum.

It was a good time all around, even though it was weird to be back in Provo and the condo. It's been exactly a month since we moved!

Easter Bunny Walk

It's been a big day in the Brunson household. Not only was it Easter, one of my favorite holidays, but Reagan started walking! She took her first few hesitant baby steps. It was so exciting! She must really like holidays- her first tooth on St. Patrick's Day and her first steps on Easter! She also enjoyed all the other parts of Easter. The Easter bunny came, and Reagan LOVED her Easter basket.
After church, Reagan took a long nap while Lance and I made a delicious ham dinner.
After dinner, we did an egg hunt for Reagan. I thought she might be too young, but she actually really enjoyed it, especially after she figured out there were treats in the eggs!
Then, Lance and I colored eggs. Despite our very busy weekend, we managed to cram in all the Easter classics!
Best other things about this week: we finally got our washer, dryer, and coffee table! After spending the second half of Saturday doing yard work, I assembled to the table and the bench seat for out kitchen table while Lance spent hours installing the laundry stuff. So exhausting. But wonderful. Happy Easter!

It's my birthday and I'll watch my best friend puke if I want to

Boy has it been a busy week! To start off, last weekend my mom and brother were in town, stopping on there way to Oregon. Reagan was so excited to have another grandma to play with, and equally as excited to have a silly uncle who got all her jokes.
As soon as they got in on Saturday, we put them right to work. We had lots of yard work that had to been done, and they were lucky enough to be able to participate.  Lance and Eric cut down and stacked trees...
While Reagan, Mom, and I swung.

Just kidding, the swinging was actually on Sunday. We trimmed and weeded. (Wode?)
The day they left, Monday, we had a huge windstorm. The neighbors trampoline blew onto another neighbor's deck!
Since our washer and dryer still haven't arrived, it was back to the laundromat again this week. While our clothes were washing, Reagan and I headed over to the park to feed the ducks. She was quite entranced with them, and they were fairly friendly.
After waiting and waiting, the weekend was finally here! My birthday! I love my birthday, not least because it means Lance and I are once again only 7 years apart, instead of 8. Reagan was very sweet to me on my birthday. She even helped me unload the dishwasher!
Friday night, Marissa and Chase babysat so Lance and I could go on a date. We went to Tucanos (that's right, 3 months in a row. Goodbye Tucanos, see you next January.) and then saw The Hunger Games. Loved it. Lance gave me my gift at dinner, a beautiful dark pearl necklace to match the ring he got me for Christmas. He has excellent taste. He also got me a bag full of caramels with a not on each one saying something he loved about me. And to top it off, he wrote me the sweetest cards. One from him, one from Reagan. I am a lucky girl. We came home and had birthday cake with Marissa and Chase. (I dressed down).

Saturday, Lance's sister babysat so we could go to Lagoon with Marissa and Chase! It was sooo much fun. It was the first day it opened, and the lines were awesome. I don't think we ever waited more than 15 minutes. The weather was beautiful, and we had such a blast. Literally. Some of us blasted the food from our stomachs. Ahem.
We got home just in time for Lance to head over to Priesthood session of Conference. It was the best birthday ever. I had so much fun, thanks to amazing friends and family! We were so tired Sunday, it was nice to veg out and watch conference all day- we had to make up for the missed Sat sessions. Now it's back to the grindstone. Got lots to do to get ready for Marissa's bridal shower and Easter this weekend!

9 months

Reagan is 9 months old today! I can't believe it. She has been out longer than she was in! Sure wish pregnancy went by as fast as the last 9 months have. That also means she's halfway to nursery! Only 9 more months until we can enjoy/pay attention to our church meetings again. Reagan had her doctor's appointment this morning at her new doctor, and she did really well. He was very impressed with how noisy, wiggly, and smiley she was. She didn't even cry when she got her shot- she smiled! What a big girl. Except not really- here are her 9 month stats:

Weight: 17 lbs 10 oz- 30th percentile
Length: 27.5 in- 50th precentile
Head: Can't remember the number, but right around 25th percentile.

She is definitely our skinny minnie. Skills: crawls very quickly, cruises, stands independently for up to 10 seconds, points, babbles constantly, interacts very well, eats finger food easily, is very observant of her surroundings, and gets into everything. She also loves to blow raspberries all the time, which makes mealtime quite... interesting...

Last night we went to the Jazz game, courtesy of Lance's boss, against the Oklahoma City Thunder, who were the number 1 team. We had awesome seats in the front row. Ok technically it was the 4th row, but there were no seats in front of us. And we had padded chairs instead of plastic ones- so nice! We were right in the corner where the players go in and out. Even though I'm not a huge Jazz fan, the game was awesome. We won 97-90, but the best part was how good Reagan was! She literally did not fuss once the entire time we were there. For the first half she mostly just snuggled up to me, ate her puffs, and flirted with the people sitting around us, but in the 3rd quarter she really got into it! I honestly think she had a great time. She was sitting on my lap, clapping and yelling and laughing. It was sooo cute. She is definitely a mini Jazz fan! Even though we were all having so much fun, we had to leave after the 3rd quarter because it was way past her bedtime. It's so nice having such a well-behaved baby that we can take her anywhere in public- we definitely got lucky with her. Here are some pics from Lance's phone.

Weird green drummers that came out after the first quarter.

We had a great night out as a family :)
