Texas

We got to spend a wonderful week in Texas at Lance's parents' over Memorial Day weekend. Playing in the pool, laying in the sun, eating delicious food. It was a dream!

Daryn liked flying in her carseat. I think.
These girls are total water bugs.

We got to spend lots of time with cousin! Cal, Ander, and Shay were there for a day, and then Sharon, Andrew, Eve, Halle, and Abigail drove down from Houston for the weekend!
 Girls, girls everywhere :)

They were pretty sill together. One day, after we had already gone swimming earlier that day, the girls slowly worked their way into the pool, fully clothed, until they were completely soaked.
I finally wised up, and just put Daryn straight back in her swim suit after she woke up, to save some time. Also, I have to mention this: Reagan was shedding articles of clothing one by one, until I looked over and she was skinny dipping! Little nudist :).
 Lots of play time.

 Lots of snuggles.

We had a nice Memorial Day. Lance and I watched Unbroken, which was a pretty good tribute to those who sacrificed so much for our country.

This was so cool- while we were there, we had the chance to go visit a brand new elementary school nearby, named after Lance's grandpa (Joy's father)! He was a much-beloved school superintendent and community figure, and I'm so sad he passed away a few years before I met Lance.

Our last day in the sun:

 Ready to go home!

We were flying in right at dusk, and I caught this beautiful view of Mt Timp a few minutes before we landed.

We were so grateful for this chance for a family vacation and to Lance's parents for hosting everyone!

Goodbye Spring

I think Spring 2015 was definitely the wettest season of our lives. It rained at home, it rained in Hawaii, it rained in Texas. More rain that I've ever seen in Utah! Still, we had fun.

And after getting so wet and muddy, the girls got their first-ever bath together.

Side note: this girl's hair.

Spring meets end of year-activities and performances, and Reagan had her preschool program and picnic.
She was so sad to say goodbye to her favorite teacher, who won't be there next year.

Celebrating with lunch out.
Reagan and Lance got to go on a date to see Grace's play that she was in. Reagan was too excited to nap, so she was dead asleep when I tried to drop her off with Lance.
But they had a wonderful time when she woke up.

And Reagan had her last ballet class for now. She has really improved recently!

And with that, the rain finally stopped, the sun came out, and we are smack-dab in summer!

Mothers Day

It's been a few weeks, but we had a wonderful Mothers Day. A few days before, I was looking through my old photo albums and found this picture of me:
Is Daryn my mini-me or what?

Anyway, the weekend was very busy. We went to Baby Animal Days (it was so crowded this year, I don't think we'll go back again) and the girls got to ride ponies.

We also got to go up to Park City on Saturday and spend the day with Joy, Meagan, and Grace, and go to Grace's dance and piano recitals. She is so talented!
I got to spend Sunday with these cuties.

And Lance took care of the girls all day and got me delicious treats and flowers and made this for dinner:
Being a mom is the best thing that ever happened to me :)
