Thanksgiving

We were so lucky to have Grandma and Grandpa with us for Thanksgiving this year. Thanks for getting married, Lori, so they had to visit! It was a short but sweet visit.

Blade loves his Grandma.

I didn't take any pics of dinner, but it was a yummy feast. Grandpa brought his fryer and deep-fried us a turkey. At pie time, Blade got a yummy pile of whipped cream.
 He approves!

After dinner there was lots of this:

But the lounging couldn't last forever. Early the next morning, it was time to get our Christmas tree!

It didn't take long to find the perfect (or at least mostly acceptable) one.

Timber!

Blade and I fulfilled our main role of pointing out each tree's flaws.

That night we made it to Temple Square for the annual turning on of the lights. It was beautiful and not too cold but very crowded and took a long time to get around.

Snapped a quick pic at the Macy's candy windows on the way out.

That night we had a pretty good snowstorm! The kids were thrilled to go play in it. Reagan built this snowman all on her own.

Maddie went out for a little but overall preferred hanging out inside in her adorable bottom layer.

My parents had been planning on leaving on Saturday but the snowstorm closed the roads in Wyoming so they got to help us decorate the tree!

I took a picture later that night but was literally too tired to walk over and turn the lights on. Don't judge.

Thanks for helping with all the decorating, Mom and Dad!
