Daryn's birthday was on a Sunday this year, but we will managed to make it fun! She got to open a couple presents before church. New scriptures, case, and highlighters for this girl. She's ready to go!
We were just happy to be part of her special day.
Of course we stopped by the temple.
After church Gigi and Aunt Meagan came for a party! The big kids were thrilled.
Dixie tolerated it.
Time for presents!
Golf clubs and a skateboard for this big girl.
I don't remember what she chose for her birthday dinner but I do know we had yummy cake afterwards! Decorated by the birthday girl herself.
I forgot, the day before we invited the neighbor girl over for a piñata. Lots of fun!
Reagan took off the head on her first turn.
After her birthday, Reagan was happy to teach Daryn every she knows about riding a skateboard. She picked it up pretty quick!
Some things about Daryn at age 8:
- weight is 45.5 lbs (7th percentile)
- height is 3ft 10 inches- 3rd percentile- just tall enough for the good rides at Lagoon!
- Daryn is super brave and excited about life and wants to try everything and do everything and see everything. Except food. She's become a picky eater and eats very little most of the time.
- She loves school, reading, and all other subjects
- She is great at memorizing and picks things up very quickly
- She gets discouraged easily but moves past it and is unstoppable
- Stil vacillating between stage 2/3 kidney disease
- She is her own worst enemy
- She has become much more responsible at home, helping carry the load of big sister and always helping the younger kids
-She is truly just a joy to be around 95% of the time!
