On Father's Day weekend we decided to go camping with our friends the Thomsons. It was a lot of work but so much fun! Our first stop was The Pie in Ogden for pizza.
We went to the same place that I had girls camp a couple weeks later.
The kids loved the creek.
We did a short but steep hike up Inspiration Point that evening. The kids were troopers.
If I recall correctly, Dixie did not sleep well and we were up bright and early the next morning.
Good thing it was a beautiful morning! Perfect for flying kites.
Dixie needed a little rest that morning after her long night before she was ready to help pack up.
Every job needs a supervisor!
And... she crashed. On the 10 minute drive to the reservoir.
She got up eventually.
Lance and Drake swam across the lake to jump off these cliffs. They said it was fun but way harder than it looked.
We also stopped at the poppy fields in Mantua. They were smaller than I thought.
Eventually it was time to go home and get cleaned up. The kids had a belt ceremony that evening. Blade's first!
Dinner at Zupas afterwards to celebrate.
When we were unloading the car we must have dropped Blade's water bottle and ran it over. It didn't even break! Sturdy things.
Happy Father's Day! We're the luckiest ever to have him.
Best dad in the whole world.
